We had a very good winter and the course came through without any ice damage or snow mold problems.  April was a month of erratic weather with highs in the 80’s, changing back to more seasonal 40’s, several strong frosts and high winds drying out the greens.  The course is in very good shape for start of the new season.

The town has repaired the drainage pipe on 5thfairway and clean up work, loam and seed were completed on April 25th.

A new 8’ Stockade fence was erected behind the putting green and new shrubs and perennials will be planted at the end of May.

New planting bed has been added to 8th   tee, several new greens, annuals and perennials were planted in late April.

Granite Post Box was added to the 2nd tee for scorecards and pencils stored for our member’s convenience.

A Cleveland Pear Tree was planted near the 8thhole in the place of the older Dogwood Tree.

More sand has been added to sand traps where needed.

We will be rolling the greens as the weather dictates for optimal smoothing and consistency of the putting greens.

Painting and staining of the both the clubhouse deck, railings and the road sign were finished in early May.

I would like to thank Fred Reslow for allowing us to borrow his front-end loader for many of the spring tasks and projects.   Also, Craig and Sharon Galipeau for the plant donation and time given for the beautification of the tees.   Lisa Colangelo for her donation of the granite mailbox and Dick Oates for his generous donation of the Cleveland Pear tree.
